MACHU PICCHU TOUR BY EXPEDITION TRAIN – 1-DAY

ARRIVAL TO CUSCO

We will get you from the airport in Cusco and take you to your hotel in Cusco. If it’s not too much trouble, let us in on your flight details something like 14 days before your arrival. Our team member will hold an orange sign saying Apple Travel outside the arrival terminal. You should leave the terminal to find our representative as they can’t enter. (If it’s not too much trouble, let us know whether your hotel is in the Sacred Valley so we can make the important arrangements).

THE BRIEFING

The briefing will be on the night before your trek at 6 pm in our office, which is located at Calle Garcilaso 2010 Office 2012.

CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE AT YOUR OFFICE?

Absolutely! While you are on your tour to Machu Picchu, you can store your main luggage at our office or at your hotel, both are free.

HOW TO BOOK THE MACHU PICCHU TOUR?

WHAT ABOUT THE BALANCE?

We would greatly appreciate it if you pay in cash at our office (US dollars or Peruvian soles) here in Cusco and avoid the additional 5.5% International transaction fee. We have many ATMs within the historic center to withdraw money.  You can also pay by PAYPAL online but you will have to pay a 5.5% service charge, charged by PAYPAL. To pay your balance through PAYPAL, you need to log into your PAYPAL account using our appletravelperu@gmail.com to complete the payment. 

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THE STUDENT DISCOUNT?

According to Peruvian Law, you must be under 18 years of age at the time of your trek, tour, or visit to Machu Picchu (students 18 & above need a student card). For example: if you book a trek at the age of 17 but you turn 18 before you do your trek, you do not qualify for a student discount.

For all students from 11 to 17 years, the discount is $30 USD.

For children from the age of 2 to 11, the discount is $40 USD.

Children under the age of 2 are free.

All students must provide a copy of their passport at the time of their booking to get the student discount.

MAY I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER THE TICKETS HAVE BEEN BOUGHT?

Sorry, the answer is No. Once the tickets for Machu Picchu have been purchased, the government does not allow any changes, so we can’t change any departure date after the tickets have been bought. Tickets are neither refundable nor transferable. Even if, you cancel your Machu Picchu Tour, the deposit is non-refundable.

DO I NEED MY ORIGINAL PASSPORT FOR THE MACHU PICCHU TOUR?

Without a doubt! You MUST carry your original passport with a similar identification number you sent off to us to book your entry to Machu Picchu, train ticket, other entrances, and reservations. They will check when you enter Machu Picchu and board the train.

In the event that you are reestablishing your passport or changing your name, you should send us a Duplicate of your old passport to get your permit, and we can change it when we have a Duplicate of your new passport or another name for a charge of $25 USD per individual.
