A serene basecamp sheltered by the Apu Salkantay.

Our 2026 started with a dream checked out from our bucket list, opening a Dome Glamping in the Salkantay Trek, elevating the experience on one of the most beautiful treks in the Andes. Plus, we wanted to offer a lodging option with the best views of the Vilcabamba Range, for those looking for a unique getaway in the Peruvian backcountry.

Located in Soraypampa, right in the base of the Apu Humantay, our campsite has a privileged view of both Humantay and Salkantay. These towering Andean Peaks are the perfect background for a unique experience in our domes, built with glass, they feature a panoramic view. Plus, we took the comfort of our hotel Andenes Del Inca to our Domes. A unique and innovative style of Glamping, that combines wilderness and comfort.

Each Dome features a queen bed, thought for a comfortable rest under the starry sky. A fully equipped private bathroom in each Dome. Wi-Fi and all the amenities you can find in a 3 stars hotel room. Our common areas include a panoramic dining room.

In our dining room, enjoy delicious meals prepared by our chef and amazing team of cooks. Strategically located to admire the towering snowcaps, this space invites guests to spend time sharing with fellow hikers after their adventures.

A peaceful refuge surrounded by the rising mists of Lucmabamba

Located in Collpapampa, a little town right in the merging of the trail coming from Salkantay and the road to Yanama. It just made sense to set a camp in this area. One that wasn’t just a place to set your tent, but one that could offer the most comfortable experience possible. After all, at this point of your Salkantay Trek or your Choquequirao Trek, your body will thank a good rest.

We built this Campsite inspired by the idea of making it an immersive experience in the Cloud Forest. Our domes are the perfect observatory for nights stargazing, mornings watching the mist disappear in the lower valley and spot birds and many other forms of wildlife in this transition ecosystem from the highlands to the Amazon rainforest. All of this while you rest in a fully equipped Dome, with the comfort level of a 3-star hotel room.

Other amenities include our panoramic dining room, featuring a fireplace and the best views of the Lucmabamba Valley. A wet area with Sauna and Jacuzzi, where you can relax and rest after long days in the trails.

A quiet Andean lodge overlooking the distant terraces of Machu Picchu

Locted on the quiet ridge of Llaqtapata, this lodge was born from a simple question: what if travelers could pause here, right before the final stretch to Aguas Calientes and experience Machu Picchu from a completely different perspective? That is why we created a lodge that elevates the moment.

Not just a room for the night, but a quiet vantage point where you can watch the Urubamba River carving the canyon, see the morning mist rise from the cloud forest, and admire Machu Picchu as a distant silhouette on its sacred ridge. Perfect to enjoy the spectacular views: soft golden light at dawn, drifting clouds midmorning, and the last warm glow of afternoon resting on ancient stone.

Our rooms, designed with the simplicity and comfort of a 2-star mountain lodge, feature private spaces with queen beds, warm bedding, and everything you need to rest deeply before finishing the journey. The experience continues in our dining room, where large windows turn every meal into a panoramic lookout. An open space to reconnect with your group, savor local flavors, and take in the scenery that makes Llaqtapata so unique.

  • Seating high in the ridge of Llaqtapata
  • Comfortable and cozy rooms in the Cloud Forest.
  • Dining room with a privileged view of the Urubamba Canyon.
  • Perfect to stargaze as the Incas did, try to find the Inca constellations!

Dome FAQs

The Sky Domes are located at exclusive points along the Salkantay route: Soraypampa, Collpapampa, and Llaqtapata. Each location was carefully chosen for its scenery, comfort, and strategic position along the trek to Machu Picchu.

No. You can stay at the Sky Domes as part of a full Salkantay Trek itinerary or book them as standalone accommodation if your route includes these areas. Logistics should be confirmed in advance.

Your stay typically includes a private dome with comfortable beds and thermal insulation, access to bathrooms (private or shared depending on location), meals according to your itinerary, common dining areas, and Wi-Fi in designated spaces.

Yes. Meals are included depending on your program and usually cover dinner, breakfast, and in some cases lunch. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated if notified before arrival.

Temperatures vary by location and altitude. High-altitude camps like Soraypampa can experience freezing nights, while lower camps are milder. The domes are insulated and include warm bedding, but we recommend bringing proper cold-weather clothing.

The dry season, from May to September, offers the most stable weather and clearer mountain views. Shoulder months such as April and October are also good options, with fewer crowds and changing conditions.

No technical trekking experience is required. However, a moderate fitness level is recommended, as the Salkantay Trek includes long hiking days and altitude changes.

Yes, altitude can affect travelers at any fitness level. We strongly recommend spending at least 2–3 days acclimatizing in Cusco before starting the trek and staying well hydrated throughout the journey.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in common areas at the camps. Please note that connection speed and reliability may vary due to the remote mountain locations.

Yes, charging facilities are available in common areas. Since power is limited, bringing a portable power bank is highly recommended.

Yes. The camps are secure and staffed, offering a safe and peaceful environment. As with any trek, we recommend keeping personal valuables secured at all times.

We recommend warm layered clothing, a down or insulated jacket, waterproof gear, sturdy hiking boots, sun protection, a refillable water bottle, personal medications, and basic toiletries.

Because availability is limited and demand is high, especially during peak season, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.

Mountain weather can change quickly. In rare cases, itineraries may be adjusted for safety reasons. Our team and guides always prioritize your well-being and comfort.

Yes. The Sky Domes are designed to provide a higher level of comfort, privacy, and warmth compared to standard tents, making them ideal for travelers seeking a premium trekking experience.
